Mont-le-Grand: Generous Wines, an Exceptional Terroir
The Domaine de Mont-le-Grand has carried on tradition for seven generations, with origins dating back to 1545. Spanning 10 hectares, the vineyard benefits from a south-facing exposure overlooking Lake Geneva, offering optimal sunlight during the growing season. This terroir, with its mineral-rich soil, allows for the cultivation of numerous high-quality grape varieties.
Among the white wines, the estate offers Chasselas, Gewürztraminer, and Chardonnay. The reds include Pinot Noir and Merlot, as well as blends of Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Gamaret, and Garanoir. A rosé, the Œil de Perdrix, completes this diverse range. The estate also produces a sparkling wine, “Bonne Heure,” crafted using the méthode champenoise from Chardonnay, and “Porte Haut,” designed in the style of a Port. Lovers of sweet wines will appreciate the Gewürztraminer Grand Cru “La Douce Heure.”
